SGE

SGE was our first 3D engine. It had features such as Direct3D and RAVE support, scene graph culling, collision detection, and level creation tools. It was used in two commercial games which were released for MacOS and Windows. SGE was discontinued in July 2003 because of new developments in 3D technology. We are currently developing a new engine which will support the three major platforms (Linux, OS X, and Windows).

Hubble Images CD

The Hubble Images CD was a joint project between SquidSoft and Farrier Software. Released in early 1998, the CD offered a convenient access to hundreds of high resolution images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope.

GameDweller

Released in 1995, GameDweller was the first multi-player 'bot for use with FirstClass bulletin board systems. The system consisted of a single application which could run on any system connected with the local network of the server (including the system running FirstClass). Users could contact the game server through a chat (text only) interface. Gameplay consisted of fighting NPCs (non-player characters) and the characters of other users. A simple menu system allowed the user to maintain a simple character, purchasing weapons and armor...and even a little gambling. Later versions allowed real-time combat between multiple human players.
