The following is a list of SquidSoft's recent and larger projects. For more information about our

SquidCam
SquidCam is the first mainstream project SquidSoft has independently designed and implemented. Released in late
Summer 2002, SquidCam is a
video phone application that utilizes a network connection (TCP/IP) to transport audio, video, and
text data between two clients.

Goodwill Industries of Denver
SquidSoft created and deployed a robust sales and production (stock) management system for
Goodwill Industries of Denver in early Fall of 2001. Due to the nature of Goodwill, SquidSoft
made use of inexpensive and dependable technologies, and delivered the project at a reduced price.
The system was built using Linux (RedHat), Apache, and Cold Fusion for the front-end, and Microsoft's SQL database
server for a back-end.
The use of Linux and Apache ensured an inexpensive and powerful server solution. Cold Fusion provides an elegant
way to script special functionality that was required for this project. The choice of MS-SQL on a separate server
was made for reliability, and allowed for consolidation of other database-driven projects by other departments
within Goodwill. A standard web broswer is used to interact with the system, which was chosen for the cost
(no expense at all) and multi-platform availability. Password protection and IP restrictions were applied to
different areas as necessary.
The final outcome was a comparatively inexpensive system which allowed employees to enter and view data (both
in-house and remotely) for every step of the
company's daily operations. The process starts with production (stock) personnel, who enter data for incoming
goods (donations). The stock is distributed to one of the many stores Goodwill operates in the Denver area, where
sales data is entered on a daily basis. The accounting department can view any production or sales data at any time, and
generate reports that were built into the management system. An administrative tool was created which allows complete
access (including tools to add, edit, and delete entries) to the entire database. The administrative tool may also
be used to create new stock categories to track, or remove an item which is no longer sold. SquidSoft also supplied diagnostic
tools to check for both incorrect and possible duplicate entries as well as full documentation.
Kawasaki ATV and JETSKI games
In mid-summer 1999, SquidSoft was sub-contracted to provide development support for two titles published
by Encore Software, Inc. SquidSoft's cross-platform 3D engine was
licensed for use in both titles.
SquidSoft fulfilled the creative requests of both Encore and Kawasaki, delivering two complete products within fourteen
months of development time. Each project ran with or without 3D hardware acceleration under Windows (Win95 onward)
and MacOS. Encore Software was recently acquired by Navarre.
